Post-publication Discussion and Corrections
The editorial board of Advanced Information Technology encourages academic debate and constructive criticism following the publication of articles. Post-publication discussions may help identify both minor and significant errors that were not detected during the review or editorial process.
Agreement on Changes with Authors
To ensure the scientific integrity of publications, all substantive changes to the content of a manuscript during preparation or after publication must be agreed upon with the author(s), including the corresponding author. As an exception, the editorial office may make minor editorial corrections (such as spelling or grammatical fixes) that do not affect the content without consulting the authors.
Post-publication Interaction
The editorial board encourages:
-
constructive discussion of research results;
-
reporting of potential methodological shortcomings;
-
suggestions for practical applications or further development of the article’s ideas;
-
well-reasoned doubts about the validity of conclusions.
Note: Comments and publications must not contain personal insults, discriminatory remarks, or subjective evaluations of the work of the editors or reviewers.
Types of Corrections
The journal adheres to international standards (including Elsevier’s recommendations) regarding the publication of corrections.
1. Minor Corrections (Erratum)
The editorial board may correct technical or formal errors (e.g., typographical mistakes, broken links, incorrect page numbers) by:
-
updating the PDF version of the article;
-
adding a “Corrections” section with a detailed explanation of the changes made;
-
marking the original PDF as corrected with a link to the updated version.
The original version will be archived and remain accessible via the “Corrections” section.
2. Major Corrections (Corrigendum)
If significant errors affecting the research results or their interpretation are found (such as errors in data, figures, or labeling), a separate correction will be published:
-
as an independent article with its own DOI;
-
upon the decision of the Editor-in-Chief in cooperation with the responsible editor and authors.
